The pool was ever so tiny, restaurant has a good atmosphere but the food is mediocre and the portion was small. Rooms are commendable the hotel is cramped up and dark. Service is good. Not much space for parking but however its front of the beach so thats a plus point

This hotel is in a fabulous location having direct views west (over road and quiet railway) to the Indian Ocean. Fantastic sunsets. It is about 6km away from central Colombo. It is not a resort in any sense, with very limited other facilities in the area

The rooms are generously sized though rather old in design. They do have too few power outlets. The (outdoor) swimming pool is small but pleasant despite the traffic noise

One day of our visit there was no evening buffet. The other day however was a special 'seafood' buffet which was good. The breakfast buffet is quite limited but they do offer freshly-made hoppers (as well as omelettes).

The mirage had a great location and the triple room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The view from the sea view room was very nice, however our windows would not open due to “government restrictions “ While it was a bit of a ride from the airport I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Colombo.
