One can go with kids, as there is a play area for kids, or just to relax near the water. If you are a fitness freak, you can try to impress on-lookers by doing many push-ups. If you are really advised to do a work-out to lower cholesterol, you can do that quietly too.

Lovely place where it is close to Colombo to walk and relax for healthy life with your family, one part of it is covered by a lake and trees are planted around the park.
A beautiful aquarium situate at one side of the park with variety of ornament fish.
You can take foods from the restaurants which is located in this areas , but negative fact is that most of are fast food but there are out lets which gives healthy food.

It was a very tired week so badly wanted to be relax by walking in the beautiful environment. We decided to go Diyatha Uyana. As we got down from the vehicle there was a food court to take food and also there was flower sellers too. Then we started to walking towards to Diyatha Uyana walking path/park it look super natural.Actually parking is 100% free and the park look really beautiful with lake.We were there for around 5-6 hours while talking and walking. This is a ideal place to watch the sunset without going to a beach. And also this have a kids park and boats rides.Try to go to this place if you are running in a busy work time this will make your mind refresh.

If you are looking for a place to get out of your busy schedule and also not too far off Colombo, here is the place. You get a children's park, a restaurant bar, a food court and a lovey view with a lake. It also has a jogging track.

A very sought out destination to both the young and the old, fitness enthusiast as well as families, Diyatha Uyana is a ideal location for those seeking to unwind from the stresses of city dwelling. The unique thing about the place is that it can cater to the whole cross section of society at the same time. Whether you prefer to have a bottle of expensive red wine or you can only afford to have a cup of tea, the food courts can cater to all. The large play area is ideal for small children to sweat it out. Walking around on the walking tracks, you are sure to burn few calories too.

Diyatha Uyana has turned out to be a popular place for a brisk jog, leisurely walk or an ideal place to just soak up the splendour of nature as one gazes at the rippled water of the Diyanannawa.

The hawker type food stalls offer a wide variety of fare, from Indian, chineses, western, Thai and traditional Sri Lankan. Food is served fast, although one may have to jostle ones way to the stall through the crowd thronging outside. .

On weekends , there is lively music provided by military bands and a party atmosphere.

Boat rides and tours around the location in brighly painted vehicles are other attractions.

The Diyatha Stations , where one has to reach by sailing on a barge is is a hot favourite with our family,

Food is served from carriages from a well done up train parked in a fascinating railway station setting overlooking the lake. The star class quality of Waters edge is maintained . The star class food is priced very nominally.

This is indeed a great attraction fo visitors to keep on coming over and over again.
