Good place to pick up local things. A variety of goods like handicrafts, tea, spices, cashews, artworks, furniture, masks, postcards, t- shirts, cloths, batik, keychains, fridge magnets, jewelleries etc. Choices of tea selection. I got some tea I couldn’t find them in other malls. Helpful staff and not too pushy. A one- stop souvenir shop for tourists.

LAKSALA (Thunmulla), is the ideal place not only for tourists but for SriLankans also to select and buy an array of gift items for any occasion. The items are very well presented and the much spacious environment is ideal to shop around in a relaxed mood.Prices are bit on the high side but quality is not compromised. Helpful staff adds to your liking of LAKSALA

The have a wide range of articles to sell. You will find good Sri Lankan Masks here. Some say it is pricey but I found it almost same with a couple of other shops I visited. Same for dresses. Some of the Batik shirts where priced lower than in some of the malls i visited. This place is mostly for Souvenir hunters. More for foreigners and those living abroad.

This is a government-run institutions and recommended for souvenier hunters. It is highly doubtful if you would get ripped off in this place. Selection/choices of items could have been better. But the jewelry section does offer a bargain on some gemstones. They were beautiful.

This is a nice place with lots of souvenirs and handcrafted items. There are like millions of different wooden elephants. Not so interesting actually when you compare this store with Barefoot.
