This is a nice place with lots of souvenirs and handcrafted items. There are like millions of different wooden elephants. Not so interesting actually when you compare this store with Barefoot.

A wonderful selection of locally made handicrafts, from an enormous range of all types of elephants, wood, porcelain, metal and papier mache, to clothing for all the family in cotton silk and blends. Lots of wood carved artefacts as well. Well worth a visit to look at local artisans and not expensive at all.

In case you are in Colombo for a short trip and don't have time to visit the local market for shopping Souvenirs, try Laksala. It is a Govt. Authorized dedicated Souvenir shop. You get all varieties of Souvenirs ranging from small Magnetic stickers to big Buddha Statues.
I found the price to be considerable higher than that of same product in local market. However considering my short trip, I had no other option.

You would get a taste of Sri Lanka under one roof.
