This huge wtore has possibly the worst bread in sri lanka. The unpretentious shops that serve traditional sri lanka bread has stuff thatis thousand times better than the rubbish they serve. This bread is like so artificial it is ridiculous.

We popped in to the bread talk shop at the world trade center in colombo. we had to get our tickets extended and so we popped into the srilankan airlines office and this shop was close by.

while the staff were really upbeat and friendly, and the displays were very clean, we did not really like the taste of the bread/base bread. It was very sweet to our taste and since my kids tend to eat healthy (brown breads, multigrain bread etc) they too said it was 'cake bread'. We had tuna buns, one of the Chicken Parmesan circles (which I liked very much) and also a chicken roll.

Not really a favourite.

I have already heard about BreadTalk and dnt get a chance to pop in to their outlet but my hubby knew that im a die heart fan of cheese cake and sometime ago he gifted me a BreadTalk box and it was Japanese cheese cake. That was so delicious and i love it. Later on I visited different outlets of BreadTalk in Colombo city and mostly I have tasted all of the pastries and cakes. Everything is very creative and fresh. I love cheese pastries and muffins. Compare to other pastries and cake vendors in the city price is bit high but you won’t feel after tasting their food the money we pay is worthy for it.
