This hotel situated near sea. i am visited this hotel on august 2016. Very good testy food here. beautiful swimming also here. i enjoy swimming with my friends. Night view also Very Beautiful. I am enjoy the trip.More

Very average hotel- The rooms are very basic. There is church right next to the hotel with service starting at 6 AM..very loud and one can barely sleep if your room is located on the church side.The restaurant offers chinese and has a very poor ambience .The breakfast was average and the crockery is totally worn out..

We accept that our hotel is a basic star class hotel and also accept that the church adjoining our hotel has a service in the morning due to Lent period and this will be there for another two weeks until Easter Sunday. This is beyond our control and we must respect all religions. However, we give below the facilities we offer to our customers as a three star hotel.
• In Rooms – AC, Hot & Cold Water, Piped music, 32”LED TV with over 50 channels (Local & International), Mini bar, Safe locker, Hair Drier.
• Golden Palace Restaurant – which serves Local , Indian, Chinese & International Cuisine
• Swimming Pool & Terrace, Mini Gymnasium, Public bar, Residents’ bar
Also for the benefit of the public we wish to publish a sample Breakfast menu what we offer to our Customers.
o Egg of your choice – Boiled, scrambled, Bulls eye or pan fried
o Omelet of your choice - Masala, Cheese, spicy or Sri Lankan etc.
o Sausages - Chicken
o Bacon (Chicken or Pork)
o Dhal, Wada, Idli, Uppuma or Dosa,
o Chicken & Fish curry / Masala/ Tandoor or Chinese style
o 2 kinds of Fresh Fruit juices

Stayed in this hotel for second time within a year. The hotel is centrally located and well within reach of major shopping attraction of Colombo. Even Gall road, where this hotel is situated is good for basic shopping. Marine Drive is just walking distance where you can spend some quiet evening. Hotel has good mene yo suite Indian taste.

I stayed here on the last night of a tour of Sri Lanka, The hotel is dated and the bathroom in particular needed work. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable but with an odd mechanical noise that buzzed every minute or so and kept me awake. The pool area was tired with dirty plastic loungers and no one seemed to use it.
The staff were very friendly and the location is good for the airport and shops.

I enjoyed our stay at hotel sapphire for two weeks. The room was very comfortable with a buffet breakfast which had western and Sri Lankan food. My stay was highlighted with the friendly staff. Mr Lahiru Laknath at the concierge was most helpful during our stay. Certainly hotel sapphire is a gem in the city. Regards Joseph Jayasinghe

Selected this property after reading the reviews but got completely disappointed with the room, service and restaurant facility!
Normally, I never had an experience with any property that fails in all three sectors of customer satisfaction ! Internet is horrible! Location is ok but the food and service are pretty bad!
Key persons in the reception, house keeping and in the restaurant are uniformly below standard and unfriendly !
I won't recommend this to anyone ! Sorry 😐

We are absolutely astonished to see a negative review which showcases all unfavorable remarks on Hotel Sapphire.
For the benefit of other readers we have few simple questions which we too cannot understand.
1. Why wasn’t all these complaints brought to the notice of the management?
2. We could not trace any issues from our Guests’ Comments questionnaire, Restaurant comments book or in the Duty Manager’s report.
3. We as management is in a precarious situation due to your misleading comment published in the Trip Advisor Review and not giving specifications of the complaint / gray areas.
We leave other reviewers to judge what is right and wrong!
The management feels that this review was uploaded deliberately to bring down the good name of the hotel.
