Great place to stay. Slightly out of town which has its advantages as it is away from the noise and bustle of the city which is only a 5/10 min tuk tuk ride (Rupees 300) away. Staff were the most helpful and friendly we experienced in Sri Lanka which is saying something because there is a lot of competition! We stayed in a standard room which was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back to the country. Book and you will not be disappointed.

This was for my second nights stay upon reaching Sri Lanka, and it did not disappoint.
The hotel is located on a nice and quiet road, not far from Colombo Royal Golf club. You
can walk to some lively parts within around 15 minutes and there is an HSBC bank round
the corner. For us though the peaceful location was perfect.

The reception is welcoming and the decoration throughout you can tell has been designed
by an artist and with a womans touch. We stayed on the top floor at the front and had a very spacious outdoor area. The room was fantastic for the price and finished in polished concrete.
shower had good pressure and the bathroom didn't have any noticeable must to it.

The food was fantastic, definitely the best we had while in Colombo. The gym was a bit of a non event but handy if you want to do a few small work outs. The pool on the roof was nice and was open to a lot of sun.

Overall the hotel felt very clean and was an excellent option. The staff were friendly, the food was great, what are you waiting for? Book.

Room Tip: Stayed in 301. This was not in the main part of the hotel but we'd happily stay here again.

Well, we arrived at the hotel at 5am, bleary-eyed after a long, indirect flight from London. I’d asked in advance if they could look after our bags until check-in time, and we’d assumed we’d need to sit in the lounge or find a local cafe for breakfast. But no, after a swift and friendly check-in, we found ourselves following the two staff and our bags upstairs. Exchanging a wide-eyed grin, we could hardly believe it when we stumbled into our (deluxe, baby) room and were left alone in peace. We gratefully clambered straight into bed and slept until mid-morning. No jet lag for us!

The hotel’s website and booking agents just don’t really do it justice. I’m so used to admiring glossy on-line image galleries and then being slightly disappointed when the real thing doesn’t match up, that I could hardly believe my eyes.

We stayed in the deluxe double room and I loved:
- The hidden dressing area concealed behind a carved wooden panel
- The ridiculously huge bathroom (all trendy concrete, rain shower and jacuzzi bath for two)
- The gorgeously big wooden doors with bolts and oversized key
- The large, beautiful watercolour calligraphy artworks throughout (the owner is a Chinese artist)
- The small but perfectly formed rooftop pool (although a bit chilly in the cold weather)
- The gorgeous galleried public sitting area and breakfast terrace (tuck into a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast if you order the day before)
- The fabulous Cinnamon Gardens location (the posh end of town, near the park)
- Nice fast WiFi

We only stayed for one night, as we were heading off on the train to Kandy, but if I’m ever back in Colombo I will definitely be checking in here. The only problem we had was that a dog wake up us every morning whining!

We stayed here for two nights when we first flew in to Colombo and it was a very 'soft landing'. The hotel is small and personal, in a charming old villa, decorated with interesting antiques and the owners paintings, with a charming roof top sitting area and small pool which was great after the heat. The area surrounding the hotel was super quiet and full of lovely quiet, leafy streets, bougainvillea-clad walls, and one of two cafes tucked away. It was an easy walk to several Colombo sites on the edge of the nearyby park and a short tuk tuk ride in to town. The Sri Lankan breakfast was a real winner. A great alternative to a large bustling hotel!

The villa is located in a quiet area surrounded by embassy and beautiful houses. It is very close to all the major tourist spots. I love the food and the sri lankan rice and curry is definitely a must try. The staff are very helpful and always with smile. I feel like home here. Will definitely come back.
