These spices are produced according to a traditional recipe of the people of Anuradhapura. This product is carefully produced, Packed and distributed by the farmers and producers in Anuradhapura. “Not so Good Poor Standards”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Cleanliness is an issue doesnt look clean at the outset the tables, washroom entrance, washrooms and also the ambiance looks like its falling apart. Portions I too agree are quite small and not at all worth the money you pay. Food taste is still quite ok but standards have dropped drastically compared to my previous visit. Think you can find way better Indian restaurants in Colombo. Think twice please. I'm vegetarian so thus have seen a lot of better places around Colombo in close proximity.

“Won't be going again”
Reviewed September 26, 2013 via mobile

The trip adviser sticker was on the door so we thought that's a plus sign. However that notion was very much short lived. It took almost 25 mins for our food to arrive and it was a rude shock when it finally did reach our table as the potion size was quite small compared  to their prices. Still we thought it might be compensated by taste. Again disappointment greeted as we tasted the food. We ordered a rice ,gobi manchurian, chettinand vegetables and channa bathura. Cauliflower had way too much food colouring and the chick pea potion was barely sufficient for the puri. To make matters worse both of us encountered a couple of small stones in the food too! Obviously hygiene factor is zero here. Conclusion -you won't see us at mathura again.

“Tasty Indian Food .”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Went with family for a Quick Dinner. Staff were too busy the Table was not cleaned. Once ordered the food came in fast. Their Curry portions are just adequate for 2-3 persons only. The Spicy Tofu curry had much more onions than Tofu. But the taste of the Food was still as Good as they used to be. The place need to be refurbished and cleaned and made to look less congested as people are seated too close to each others tables and no feeling of privacy at all.

But, if you want to have some great tasting Indian food in a hurry the place is Mathura.

“avoid this place”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Went there in February 2013. We ordered Naan and about three/four curries. The portion sizes were way too small and all of us left hungry. The final cost of the meal was around 3500 for four people. This price is way too much for a very ordinary restaurant in Colombo. You can have a really good Indian meal at a place like Chutneys for the same price. (Chutneys is a restaurant in a five star hotel in Colombo) Will be not going to Mathura again.

“Good Indian Food”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

We went there around 21H30 and ordered 3 to 4 dishes and it took approximately 10 minutes to serve the food. The food is good tasty nice aroma and good service too. Talking about the place its a bit smaller and packed, Old building but clean. Situated near Royal institute school. This is a good place for an Indian food.
