Perfect half day out - we had most of a late morning/afternoon to fill while we waited for our driver to take us to Galle - how to see Columbo was our challenge?
This is it! . We don’t know the names of the other drivers but Kavi was just brilliant sonuse him But I bet they are all great. - This was one of the best excursions wfrom the joyous welcome, the extra little touches, his choice of music and dancing in his seat getting us and passers-by excited. Kavi is knowledgeable and loves his city.
The temples, the memorials , enough time, coffee stops, tea tasting, Spice Island, no pushy sales and a great lunch. Really Good value
Thank you one and all

'Big Papa" was a great host, going out of his way to take me on an improvised tour of the cricket ground. A knowledgable tour of the temple and a great final meal were the highlights

We wanted street food and spices. Kavi took us to where he eats and all the hotels and restaurants buy there spices and rice. A mind full of facts and dates. Great English, tonnes of patience for my inane questions.

Wherein that police uniform meant all the other Tuk Tuk drivers were staring at him not the two limeys in the back.

Kavi was an incredibly friendly and informative guide for our first day in Colombo. A great introduction to diverse Sri Lankan culture. Kavi went out of his way to help us plan the rest of our stay as well. Couldn’t have been happier with the service.

We had the first great day in Sri Lanka with tuk tuk Safari. Our guide Obama is just the best! The tour give us about life in Colombo. Our guide took care of us all the way, asked if we have any special request for the trip and brought us to a shopping mall so that I could buy a flip-flop for the beach.

I recommend Tuk tuk safari and Guide Obama to anyone who travels to colombo!

Best,

Xi

After three weeks in country we spent our last night with Kavi (Caviar) in his beloved Lucy Lu (the tuktuk). Absolutely fantastic time, whizzing down places like Old Moor Street and 2 Cross Street where you normally just won't go. Lucy was a very versatile girl and was a three wheeled Sri Lankan disco complete with lights show, bar, viewing platform and cabriolet top. Kavi was absolutely charming company, a lovely lovely man - word of advice: there is so much food and so many stops you would have to be starved to be able to eat it all. It's not all about the food; the chance to see and experience all the sights of central Colombo from the whirling mayhem that is life in the three wheeled world is excitement enough even without the food, and we were out for nearly four hours. Time, like Lucy, flew. We loved it, as you can gather. Thanks Kavi and Lucy, travel well, you will be remembered!

This was an excellent way to see some of the sights of Colombo with our brilliant driver and host ‘Donald Duck’. On our safari the highlights were the indescribable Gangaramaya Temple (you really do have to see it to believe it!), the teeming Pettah shopping bazaar, Independence Square and the Sinhalese sports Club!

Big Papa showed us around like a real pro... After our welcoming coconut and leis.... we started our journey at Gangaramaya temple, then off to Isso vadei on the promenade, tea tasting, light house galavanting, and ending it off with Hoppers, Kottu and Curd. Truly felt like a local. A MUST for tourists.

A truely memorable and an enjoyable Tuk Tuk Safari City Tour in Colombo with Caviar (Kavi) - our polite, humourous and knowledgeable guide.

Touring Colombo in a safari-themed customized Tuk Tuk is definitely a head turner. There is even an option to go alfresco. On top of that, it comes with music and well stocked drinks and snacks. A truly 5-Star Tuk Tuk experience.

Strongly recommended this Tuk Tuk Safari City Tour if you do visit Colombo and only have a couple of hours to spare.

Thank you once again Caviar (Kavi) for showing us the rich history and beauty of Colombo. We have truely enjoyed it =)

Had a really fun and informative trip with Caviar and Ronaldo! They picked us up from the hotel and gave us coconuts and my fiancee a flower lei. Our tuktuk had water, beer, and cashew nuts available. They brought us to the major tourist spots and explained the notable sights and streets that we passed through. Caviar was enthusiastic and extremely well-versed of his city's history. He even bought us local delicacies to sample.
Thank you Caviar and Ronaldo for a unique tour! Highly recommended for a first day around Colombo!
