“Another great meeting place though takes time”

The food is excellent but service dismal. From time to time they get a guest chef or consultant and desserts or salads or ethnic food excels. It's garden seating is great and coffee in the sun on pleasant winter days is a pleasure. Every Saturday from 10 to 2 there is a vibrant Farmers Market which is sometimes joined by artists and craftspeople. Good bakery and their baguettes are good. The FM has lots of artisanal foods and breads.

The Lime Tree is a decent place while at Kuch Khaas. Although the food isnt the best, but I really like this place for what it has to offer in terms of ambiance. You can roam around Kuch Khaas exhibitions and then come and grab a bit to eat here. I usually go there to work because I find the place to be quite relaxing like that. I love the corner they have with sofas and books, though the books really need to be updated. Kuch Khaas also does wonderful concerts and shows and holds debates and farmers' markets. I like the Lime Tree's hot chocolate (the special kind which is spiced and has marshmallows since not many places do that in Pakistan) and their Thai Beef Salad.

I was expecting more of a taste and a good mouth feel, I tried two different salads, and they were like wqy too below average.. and bbq was evenly disappointment. Yet place is good lovely location.

From the outside you would never guess what is behind the white walls, but The Lime Tree is a pretty cool and calm haven in the crazy city that is Islamabad. It has a lovely outdoor seating area, but if you can't stand the heat, indoors is really nice too.
We had breakfast and it was really good. Would definitely go back. I would recommend it, but I would like to keep it secret!
