A lovely garden setting off the main Margalla Road, cafe very tastefully laid out, and a very refreshing menu - lots of good fresh fruit and vegetable items... tasty! There's always something else going on here in the Kuch Khaas: culture, farmers' markets, events.

The Lime Tree is part of Kuch Khaas an extraordinary enterprise that has truly transformed Islamabad. In a large house with a tranquil garden in the middle of the city this not-for-profit Centre for the Arts, Culture and Dialogue provides a space for talks, concerts, debate, campaigning and classes in almost everything. The cafe is at the heart of the place. It is open all day, from breakfast to dinner. It's a wonderful place to meet friends or to sit alone, reading, working or checking email.

This small serene restaurant is located inside the local Cultural centre of Islamabad "Kuch Khas" just in front of Margalla hills.A nice place to hang out.Usually not ideal for lunch or dinner but the coffee n cup cakes are very nice.At weekends there is musical evening so you can enjoy coffee or tea with the melodies in the garden.

This is a nice little haven in the heart of 'old' Islamabad, with a view to the Margalla hills and tucked inside a local cultural centre Kuch Khaas. If you want to sit and work somewhere nice and quiet with internet, this is the place. Though in the evening and at night it gets a little louder with people coming in for tea/coffee/dinner. It's also a great place to go with friends or for a semi-formal work meeting.

I especially like their mint lemonade and their ginger tea, both pretty reasonably priced.

The food quality varies, and I usually only go for tea/coffee. The quiche isn't that great, but their breakfast items are good.

After a long work week our local colleagues took us to the Lime Tree. A relaxed place with a nice garden and a varied menu. This evening there was no live music and that would have interfered with our relaxed evening anyway. Good food, good company, relaxed place; what else do you want!?!
