“Go for the Zanabaazar bronzes”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

One of the five temples on the unkempt property hidden behind the Blue Sky hotel is octagonal in shape. Very unusual for a Buddhist temple. Inside are bronzes made by Zanabaazar or attributed to his school of artists. Worth a visit to see these wonderful images.

“Don't miss this”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

It's worth paying the camera fee. Bring your own guide if you don't speak Mongolian. The grounds look unkempt, but the main temple has been maintained/restored as a museum.

“Very nice in the middle of the city”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

In front of the Milly's café there is this piece of art. Very nice. When I went there it was closed but what do you want.

“One of the best cultural visit in the city”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

While not in its best shape, this complex of several former temples is well-worth visiting! The buildings are more of less 100 years old, which is not very ancien, but still older than most of the spots of the capital. Very few people there make the visit very pleasant. Explainations in English are available. To take pictures, you will need to pay an extra fee...

“Incredible!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

One of our favorite tourist destinations. My daughter was an expat for a year in Mongolia, who regularly took guests here as it is one of the best presentations of Buddhist art. They have live horse-head fiddle music playing outside (in summer afternoons), and the museum is full of detailed English explanations about the rooms. My son and daughter still rave about this being their favorite destination in Mongolia.
