I have recently been to Khankhorum restaurant at Kempinski Hotel Khan and was positively impressed by the changes. The decor is renovated: while keeping the ancient city Kharkhorum's wood craved elements, red wallpaper and salad-green curtains and table cloth give it a modern chic atmosphere. The new look is dramatic: combination of old and modern and you need to have a look, to make your own judgement.
The menu is changed also and as well gives a mixed impression: there is both Mongolian cuisinem represented by famous mongolian meat pies, khuushuur, and European cuisine. I tried the hot and spicy chicken wings and those were really goood: hot, finger-licking tasty!
One warning: the prices have gone up. I dont know if it is influenced by 10+% inflation in Mongolia or by the fact that there is now a new German chef.
Would very much recommend to visit the restaurant and share with me your views.
