Stayed at the Springs Hotel for 3 days in September 2012 with a group of doctors for a conference. We needed a centrally located, reasonably priced hotel and this fit the requirements. Rooms were small but adequate although did not have a comfortable workspace. No problem with internet. Breakfast was good. Some of group found beds too hard and room was cold at times but staff responded with electric heater and more padding for bed. Bathrooms were very nice. Rooms and hotel were very cIean. Nice restaurents closeby. Staff were polite and capable. No issues with deposits and room payment. I have stayed at several other hotels in UB over the last 20 years - eg Continental, Bayangol, Sulchin Grand - and this hotel was by far the best when factored for location, cost, service and convenience. None of group complained about noise from other rooms.

Location is excellent; couldn’t be closer to action on Sukhbaatar Square & okay restaurants at Central Tower Building. However rooms are so basic that no deposit was taken. Place is fairly new but has shoddy feel & appearance. This deterioration was more evident compared to my two (2) earlier visits. Also my room only had two (2) power point outlets. Moreover there was extremely poor television reception for channels screening Olympic Games. Rooms have always been fairly noisy due to large gaps at bottom of room doors. WiFi is limited with weak signal to rooms + even to Business Centre. Outside access to foyer can be fairly slippery even during summer. I experienced no water to bathroom from 5.00pm until 8.00pm which was not received well by other hotel clients; then next morning no hot water. With there being little choice, the complimentary breakfasts have always disappointed. Directly across the road there is a new Radisson Hotel being built which should open by June, 2013. I would think unless significant improvements are made a lot of business will be lost.

Nothing to say bad or very good. It's average for people who travels a lot as myself.
Small rooms with poor lightning. Outside view is terrible so you do not need to chose a room) but clean and quite.
Rate is high for the region in compare with China, Thailand or Vietnam (and many others with the same income level). Only the thing that Blue sky hotel is not far and has close rates being much attractive.
Breakfast is terrible. I’ve tried once and never return.
Location is good if you going to stay in Ulaanbaatar.
Visit Korean restaurant on the second floor. It’s good. And I’ve seen they have massage underground. Heard feedbacks from colleagues that it’s also place to visit.

I stayed at the Springs for one night and thought that in general it was very nice, not flash just good.
The wifi was poor, This annoys me because it is a vital communication link these days especially travelling internationally.
It is a 300 or so meter walk to the centre of Ulaan Baatar.
The Korean restaurant was not bad.

Room Tip: Close to WiFi router

It is what I want when travelling to out of the way places like Mongolia. Simple clean, accommodation, a good and in-expensive Korean restaurant, good heating and walking distance to the centre of the city and not expensive!
