my first stay in your mixay guesthouse, on 30th Nov 2011. They are offering free breakfast and tea or coffee. But when I come on year 2012, september 10th.

They are no breakfast provided more over the room rates increase.

I do not feel I will come back for 3rd visit in Vientiane, Laos.

Room Tip: the stair is twister style so you need to choose the room low floor, hard to carry big luggage to yo...

We stayed in the 4 person dorm rooms. Air con and fans available in the rooms. There is a shared bathroom on each floor. The laundry service, although a little expensive, was quick with turnaround. The front desk manager provided great service and helped us purchase tickets from Vietanne to the border, then overnight train tickets to Bangkok. We paid a little higher for service fee, but it was worth not having the hassle of a border crossing. That said, the border crossing was surprisingly easy and efficient. If you have the time, it would be easy to do on your own.

I forgot my sleeping bag so i returned and the unfriendly staff insulted that i mist have left it somewhere else. They do not care about my issue and left me without a proper answer. For sure they kept it and sold it to other backpackers..lucky them...

stayed two nights in a 5 bed mix dorm at 50000kip per night with a/c and fan. for the same price, the room beside it is a 3 bedder but it only has fan. if you're lucky enough, you can bargain it at 40000kip per night. despite the rooms were on the 4th level the wifi connection was well received. the only share toilet/bathroom was clean and roomy enough. a small balcony as well with chairs to sit and chill. location is within walking distance to the night market and not a worry if you get hungry.

This place is expensive for the standard of the room. We stayed here because they have 3 single beds in one room, a few others guesthouse only have double. The room we get is on the 3rd floor with a window facing the front of the road. The curtain was broken and half hanging on the wall. The room is cramp. The shared toilet was clean. The Internet on this level never works.
The staff at the counter was ok, they provide us with bottle water and water refill. We only stay here for a night so it's bearable.

After spending our first night in Laos at Villa Manoli paying $45 a night and being 'out of town', we were happy to stay here in the centre of it all for only $12 a night per room. We rang the day before and asked for two rooms with windows and lucky enough we got them.

The room was small and not that clean but we were happy there. The room had a TV and the shower was hot. Air con worked fine.

I would be happy to stay there again. The only issue was noise from an upstairs room...and I'm a bit worried about the signage in the room about if you 'damage the sheets $10 fine, same for pillows, towels, etc....what are other people doing in there?). Staff were indifferent but not rude or unfriendly.

Room Tip: Ring in advance and request a room with a window.

This place was bad. The people behind the counter are rude. Our room was dirty (water bottles under the bed and hairs everywhere) and I asked them if they could clean the bathroom, because obviously it wasn't cleaned at all. After they did, it was still dirty though.

They got all these rules hanging on the walls (for example, after a certain time you have to turn off your light :S) but they don't follow them themselves. They are shouting very loud in the hallway at 6 in the morning.

The price is OK, but that's the only positive thing. After they were in the LP, they got so arrogant, that the service now is really bad.
