Small, newly opened Italian restaurant with an Italian chef/owner, who personally takes care of his customers.
Food is great!

Lovely comment, true picture of Trip Advisor standards and reliability..

the set lunch its for 5.3 Euro, (Monday to Friday )

comprise of a salad/starter of the day, a choice of gorgeous portion of fresh a la minute pasta or a standard Italian size pizza baked from a Neapolitan wood fired Pizza oven, dessert of the day and a coffee or tea.
I repeat 5,3 Euro! read the other comments... and see what other think....

see our facebook page to see the dishes proposed and the presentations... see our standards...

Result, very difficult to find a seat, we fully booked, lunch an dinner, as we got a very winning concept, we have Vientiane residents coming at 11,30 trying to find a seat, or after 13,30...

The reviewer say we not wort the price, perhaps, he/she was thinking of some street open sky stall where local noodle shop... among the street dirt and the smell of drainage... or perhaps in his hometown for 5.3 Euro , they serve them breakfast, lunch and dinner and wish also a good night with a red rose... and 3 chocolates... :)

Worst, i never said we try to impress, i remember the trio, that even if we have clear written saying "please wait to be seated", they careless fast walked in a few second after a just freed table not even allowing us to clear it, it already says the tale....

I personally remember when they asked me why such large plate (which actually is not, see some guest who posted pictures of our desserts here) and i tried to explained to them that any dish need a proper presentation and plating, quality is a must, presentation its due to quality, then they said "are you trying to impress me?",
i felt strange...something wrong with these guest, however i politely explained to them that any dish is prepared with passion and need proper artistic presentation, they smirked at me... and said something in their language....
i felt a bit distressed, however, but let it go, we are professional and in our long career we encounter several kind of guest.... the world is beautiful because its colorful!

Well perhaps the reviewer is used to staff canteen restaurant, where a kitchen attendant or a janitor/steward with a large spoon slop in the food tray the dish of the moment, and we apologize if you guessed we were at the same level and you were disappointed to find us better then that... or not at your level...

however we can assure you if you will ever come back after six month as you said, we will still have the same dish presentations, and pls as we are glad to be at your service at anytime and we always do try not disappoint you, book in advance if you may want ensure to find a table, otherwise you will give us another review complaining that we shall do smaller tables and smaller dishes to accommodate you... .or something similar...

TripAdisor Reliability : Think, 5.3Euro (53,000LAO KIP) quality 3 course meals, fine dining presentation and a reviewer can write such thing and give us low points, that why we keeping advocating, that TripAdvisor, isn't reliable at all, and is not the place where review shall be done, as anyone can write what they like at their will and bring up or down a restaurant as seen n this case the reviewer prove to be incompetent... or in another cases no even true...

Trying to impress..... ?

I feel pity.... and sad... for them... guess what they are eating everyday... ?

We have been travelling around SE asia for the last 3 months and have eaten so much Thai / Cambodian & Vietnamese food and were craving some western food.

I've attempted to try a few pizza places in asia and they have all been pretty bad.

We saw this place as it was near our hotel and stopped in. The pizza was amazing and was just what i needed. It had an authentic Italian style to it and was not new york style pizza or just plain pizza. it was really good.

The chef even came out and asked us how our meal was.

We would suggest this restaurant if your after some great pizza.

They also do a really good lunch time promotion.

My girlfriend, who is a chef at a 5-star hotel in Vientiane, had been raving about this restaurant and the owner, Chef Gerardo, so we finally went. I was not disappointed. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation, which are recommended as this place is small and, even though new, very popular. Simply put, the food is fantastic. The scallops were heavenly and melt in your mouth. The carbonara was savory. Even the complimentary breads with flavored butters and dips was quickly devoured. The wine list is the best in Vientiane and, for what you get, is reasonably priced. See my photos for the champagne and dishes we had that night. The service was impeccable and Chef Gerardo will be at your table to explain items on the menu and answer any questions. After every course either the chef or the waiter came to us to ask if the food was OK. We will definitely be back again.

Best italien food arround. Must say, we are now on a long travel in Asia and that was the best pizza we eat in the whole time. Come again for dinner or lunch. The wine is for asien style and for the cheap price also okay.
People who rate lower : Never forget, you are in Asia. The Chefs here can only cook with the products, they can get here. And that is sometimes not so easy.
