we walked around looking at other guesthouses in the area but chose to stay here for 3 nights because it was seemingly the best value for money.

pros: free wifi, in town, tv, a/c, ensuite bathroom, close to food

cons: internet didn't always work, moldy ceiling that leaked when it rained, there was a dead + dried lizard in the corner of the room, the a/c didn't work the first night but they had that fixed the next day, there was one rude staff member, expensive for laos (given the quality) but maybe not for vientiane

As i arrived at the guesthouse, my friends and i was warmly welcomed by beautiful smiles of the receptions. although their English isn't to the standard, but it is totally understandable. and the conversation went on just fine. we got ourselves a room at the 4rd floor with one double and one single bed. the three of us love the room. the air-condition was cooling, the lights was bright, big window, toilet and rooms all clean and comfortable. they even have free wireless wi-fi. after we wash up and and was going down to have our dinner. we ask the staffs there for good a restaurant, and their response was helpful, despite their language and all. they did not introduce us to expensive stall instead they told us the best of the local food there. and there really has a lot of food. it is indeed the centre of town. For the previous comment, you need to understand the state of their country, it is one of the poorest country in asia, they do not have a very good system, and the guesthouse cant really do much to it. so if you got a chance to explore there i hope you enjoy the amazing Laos.

when I arrived it appeared they had two buildings, one is one of those chinese style ones with everything as cheap as possible and no atmosphere at all. The second one is a lovely old building with a beautiful veranda. I chose a room in this one and went for a walk. Coming back at about 6 pm I found that the room was separated from the next room by thin plywood. My neigbour was an elder lady apparently suffering from a mental disorder. She talked very loudly and continuously, shouting and making eerie sounds now and then. After half an hour I was given a room in the new building, just above the lobby. They had the TV set on at fukk power with of course nobody watching. I knew enough and left. I would only advise this if you find nothing else and if you can sleep on a battlefield.
