I stayed at this hostel as a stopover as I had an early flight the next morning. First of all, I couldn't find it. I walked past the sister hostel many times asking for directions but was still wandering around dodgy deserted Vientiane streets on my own at night.
When I arrived at the hostel the staff seemed more interested in the party that was going on than letting me get in to my room. This is what you pay for though, so I can't really complain.
The room itself was clean and there was plenty of storage space under the bed bunks for my stuff.
The only issue I had was a run in with the owner upon checkout. We had a disagreement about the amount I owed as I had already paid a 10% deposit on hostelworld. He was also a little stand offish when I asked for my passport back, which I kind of needed for my flight.
All in all, not the worst place I've stayed, but I would definitely recommend going for somewhere a bit closer to the centre as I didn't feel 100% walking around the area on my own at night.More
