“The quickest attraction to see in Vientiane”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

I have walked around and driven passed this attraction so many times its still catches my eyes. Its old and nice to look at because no one knows why it was built or why it is there. It would be the quickest attraction to go and see as it would take you 5mins to walk around it and another 2mins to stand and look at it then move on.

“See as part of walking/cycling tour”
Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

Historical monument with a story. In the middle of a roundabout right by the us embassy. Legend is that all the gold was carved off back in the 1800s. - now it's just bricks being overgrown by plantlife.

“OK, but not much to see and no information board”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

This is a nice stupa and you'll get a couple of nice photos but not worth going out of your way. There's nothing else, just the stupa.

It would be nice if there was an information board next to it with some information on it to tell you about it. Maybe then I would have felt more of a connection with it

“OK to see when you walk by it”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

It's located right next to the US embassy and you can swing by the stupa on the way to the other sites. There is nothing to see other than the ancient stupa from the outside. Has a historic value though.

“Worth a visit in passing”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

Very interesting and historic Stupa unfortunately it is now a traffic circle. Still worth while stopping over to take a few photos while in town.
