“Worth the trip, which should only take a few minutes.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

A weathered and aged stupa that occupies a residential roundabout now. Would be a nice place to sit on one of the benches and read a book.

We spent 20 minutes looking at it from various angles, but that's likely triple what most people visiting will spend.

If you're pedaling around downtown, it's worth detouring over a street or two to see it while you're there.

“Just a huge stupa in the middle of the road”

As the title goes... Nothing much to see. We visited this place because it was along the way back to our guesthouse and is free..

“don't plan your day around it”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

It's something to see but nothing over exciting or worth planning your day around. It's an easy walk or bike ride from most places.

“Don't miss for a photo, but don't plan two hours either”

Impressive Stupa, definitely worth a look. It is located in the middle of a round-about, so you may have to share the view with the traffic. Take in the ancient atmosphere for a while, but don't plan to stay very long. 20 minutes is plenty

“Very overgrown but still beautiful”

An old stupa which was destroyed by the Siamese in 1828. Somehow it still has an air of tranquility and it is a good landmark if you are lost inVientiane
