This is a brand new shrine that has just been completed. It is a Buddhist shrine built in the Lao tradition and houses a gold pillar inside. It is absolutely magnificent. The ceiling id painted in red with golden designs. Four doors with imposing three-headed Nagas open into the square-shaped shrine. It is really a shame that there is no other explanations in French or English. I tried to ask about the pillar but even the girl sitting inside was unable to give a proper explanation in English or French. Anyway, this is certainly worth a detour as it is a new addition to the city of Vientiane.
