“Good for a picknick”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

If you want to make a picknick not far from Vientiane this is a good spot. The Buddha statues themselves are not impressive or artistic.

“Plethora of Buddhist and Hindu statues”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

This park is located a few km east of the Friendship Bridge, accessed by a very rough road. It is crammed with both Buddhist and Hindu statues. They are so packed together that it is difficult to get an uncluttered photo.

None of the images are historical but have been contributed by donors over the last few years.

We really enjoyed spending some time here.

Note that there is a small entrance fee and a photographing fee.

“A little bit quirky”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

We did make the mistake of taking a tuk tuk out there but it was a spur of the moment thing after visiting COPE. Roads were so rough and dusty. Anyway, this was a pleasant enough way to spend an hour or so, good change from Wats.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

We got the bus here instead of a tuk tuk and it was really easy and much cheaper, bus departs from main station and cost 6000 kip and then tuk tuk from friendship bridge was 10000 kip each. Although quite small, it's really interesting and good for photos. Only downside was that there wasn't much information detailing the reason for all the statues.

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

It is hard to imagine just how many statues are in the park. The road getting to it is very bumpy and feels like you're going to the middle of nowhere but on arrival the huge statues begin coming into view. It is excellent to see most of the statues still intact, I highly recommend the park while in Vientiane.
