Owner description: This sculpture park is a collection of hundreds if Buddhist and Hindu statues scattered around a meadow.

The ride to the park was about half an hour from Vientiane. It cost 20,000 kip to enter. When I was there earlier in July this year, there were no other tourists at this park for the entire morning that I was there.

The park has some nice Buddha sculptures, and there is this nice tall Buddha that you can climb. There is nothing much to read about of the artistic dimension or interpretation of the Buddha. A visit here would probably not take more than an hour to complete along with some photo taking.

As a party of 5 we took a tuk tuk rather than bus. A nice drive, v bumpy along the last section due to all the trucks dredging the Mekong river. Nice view of the friendship bridge and Thailand. We loved all the statues and the kids enjoyed climbing up the pumpkin. No OHS policies here! Very dark and steep and no hand rails. A fun morning out and a cafe on site. Situated right alongside the river

This place is again a park, with lots of Buddhist carvings, very old statues indeed. The best part about the location was the park, and you can take rest in between and roam around the place.

Yes, getting old but still worth a visit. Do hope they are generating a budget for restoration though, falling apart a bit ... still interesting though.
