Small temple, worth an hour of so of your time. The temple needs refurbishing, but an interesting look.

Well worth a visit this place contains some of the best Buddha statues I saw in Laos. The temple is very peaceful and relaxing. Just near the presidential palace (though you can't go in there).

Thousands of Buddha statues... Clean...
Tourists should read the signs and show respect while in the Wat instead of taking photos anywhere and being noisy.

Wat Si Saket is a photographers dream site with intricate temples, beautiful statues and nice wildlife. We spent almost two hours at the site and thought the 5 thousand kip entry fee was a good bargain. I would recommend doing some background reading or hiring a local guide to explain the fabulous history and significance of the site. It was a charming location to drink coffee and read a book, the underlying calm really taking a hold of my husband and I

This temple is a must for its history alone but it is also worthwhile since so much restoration work has been done and it includes an interesting museum - more Buddhas than you normally see in one place for sure. It is positioned close to the centre so is an easy walk from most other attractions. 5k kip is well worthwhile for the entrance fee. A guide or prior reading up is recommended.
