If you are watted out or just can't be bothered this is worth a visit to see the alcoves. Lovely quiet place with great architecture.

A quick tour there is a must if you like temples. I loved the architecture of the Wat, so beautifully designed.

Wat Sisaket or Sisaket Temple, open from 8am to 4pm daily is located in Lang Xang Road opposite the Presidential Palace. Within the wall, you’ll find thousands of tiny Buddha images and hundreds of seated Buddhas in rows. You may not realized it but there are over 6,800 buddhas in total made of stone, wood and bronze from 16th and 19th centuries. Entry Fee is 10,000 kip (US$1.25)

We had not much time in Vientiane . But it was a good decision to go to Wat Si Saket because the architecture, the temples are in a special way more archaic than in Thailand ( for me). Enjoy

Maybe I'd seen too many temples in Thailand, but this temple didn't really excite or impress me. It's worth seeing because, in truth, there really isn't much else to see in Vientiane. Take a slow walk there and if you see something exciting on the way stop there instead. However, of you've never seen a temple before then this is a must-see!
