“Pretty cool!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

We hired motor bikes and zipped up here, it's pretty cool and at 3000 entry it's worth going right to the top.
Full of souvenir shops but press through there are great views from the very top (up the metal spiral stair case).

“South East Asia's Victory Monument”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

A trip to Vientiane has to include a visit to Patuxai, Laos’ answer to Paris’ Arc de Triomphe – a monument that combines French design and Laotian artwork. A long climb to the top and you will be rewarded with a glorious view of the surrounds of Vientiane and then check out the surrounding park, which is a favorite local hang out.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Well worth a visit, you can climb up to the top, approx 6 levels or so, which gives a nice view on the lanes. Inside are also some shops.

“Only for the view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

Not much here to see or do other than climb up the stairs (past 2 floors riddled with stands), get to the top, take some pictures, walk through another shop and climb down again.

“City Symbol”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

The Patouxay towers over the city. The view at the top was good but you have to pay 3000 kip to enter. The cool breeze and the city scape was worth the walk up. There were also souvenir stalls inside the Patouxay that sold tings really cheap. There was also a nice park at the base of the arc. Great place to relax and chill.
