I can't say enough about how wonderful this bicycle tour by Aline was, in all aspects from start to finish. Well prepared with top-quality bikes, helmets and gloves all in excellent condition. And always made sure that we stayed hydrated by stopped regularly for water/drinks. Aline was very knowledgeable about Vientianne and the Lao people in general, and very eager to share that with excitement. She was able to answer pretty much every question which we threw at her, and gave us wonderful insight into the people and how they live. She took us to all the right places, and off the beaten track into the villages and neighborhoods rather than just all of the "touristy" places. We were also very fortunate to have a few unexpected but very special encounters with the Lao people which gave us a wonderful inside look at their culture and traditions. Such warm and welcoming people who extended the real privilege of inviting us in to share their lives and experiences with us. We loved every aspect of our Vientianne ByCylce tour and would highly recommend it to everyone. Aline was an extremely courteous host and very knowledgeable host, it was one of the highlights of our trip to Laos!!

This cycling tour is a lot of fun, easy and safe. The tour takes you around most of the sights of vientiane in a day (all the big ones like the national monument, arc de triomph etc) but also down some village paths & luxury government housing which you would never get to see by yourself. the explanations are also excellent. my highlight was the lunch in the temple and also when we cycled past another random temple, there was a ceremony going on and the friendly laotians invited us to participate and we went to be blessed by a monk. be warned that vientiane as a city doesn't offer great sightseeing to begin with, but this tour made it enjoyable and memorable. the city is very flat so its easy to cycle. some paths and bridges are a bit challenging but in a fun, not dangerous way.

If you only have a couple of days in Vientiane like we did, and want to get a feel for the place beyond the usual tourist sites, I cant think of a better to achieve this than by joining this tour.

We chose the half day tour, where we got to cycle through the backstreets of Vientiane and out into its outskirts , passing through temples, schools, markets. Aline, the tour the leader has lived in Vientiane for a longer time, her knowledge of the city and Lao culture is impressive, throughout the tour she stops at provides details of the sites you pass by, but its never overwhelming, and she's more than willing to answer your questions if you want more detail.

The lunch time meal in the temple was fantastic, and worth the price of the tour alone, one of the best meals we had on 4 week tour of Thailand and Laos.

Highly recommended.

Aline and Mike are very friendly, knowledgeable locals with a laid-back attitude to match the speed of Laos.
I didn't know much about Vientiane before taking their tour, but afterward, I felt like I had learned and seen a lot of great things, and also got to spend a day out in the sunshine getting a bit of exercise. The food (included along the tour) was also great!
