Went tonight because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. Keen to try authentic Laos cuisine. Sorry we made the effort. Service was very slow and food was overwhelmingly bland. Only tastes left in my mouth are garlic, chilli and Kaffir lime. No subtlety or complexity of flavours and overall very disappointed. Very cheap but would rather have paid more for food worth eating

One of the best restaurants I visited throughout the whole of Laos - don't miss out on the Laab (I had beef and tofu and loved both!) as well as "Morning glory" as a starter and some dessert (sweet sticky rice with coconut milk and fruits). Service is friendly and free drinking water is provided.

You want some Lao food in a good clean restaurant that is high quality and cooked well, then this is a good place for you. Not that expensive either. Only ate there once, the food was good. Didn't like all the green beans in the curry, seemed more like green bean curry than chicken curry but still good place. My friend's dishes were all good.

I have lived in Vientiane as an ex-pat for 18 months now and have visited most restaurants in Lao.

For Lao food suited to Western taste this place is perfect. They do all the local favourites but don't put the chilly in, or fermented fish paste, that the locals love. This is because most Western people don't love it.

After 18 months I prefer more genuine Lao food, made as locals would eat it, so I go to Lao street cafes where locals eat. You will find very few locals eating here. It's a place where Westerners eat.

If you are on holiday, looking for Lao food, but don't want it too spicy etc then I high recommend this place.

If you are looking for a more genuine experience, with recipes made as the locals eat, then try a local street cafe. You'll know you're in one because there will be no Westerners in it!!
