“Great Lao Food”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

A must for dinner in Vientiane, the food was delicious, fresh and incredibly reasonably priced.

The chicken in Pandan leaves with Garlic sauce was beautiful as was the basil chicken and eveything else that was served.

We were also allowed to tie the dog up outside and they gave her a bowl of water. Very kind people.

“Great fresh food”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

I really enjoyed my meal at the Lao Kitchen. I had the mixed vegetables with oyster sauce and the fresh spring rolls. Both dishes were very tasty. My only criticism is that all of the dishes (including the appetizers) were pretty large portions. When you are travelling alone, that just means that you can't try lots of different things! The prices were pretty good considering the serving size.

“Unassuming - great food”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

You could almost just walk past the Lao Kitchen - from the outside it just looks like a very clean, slightly modern little restaurant. Its is all those things but in our opinion much more. Theres a really good, slightly more interesting menu and the food was the freshest and most scrummy food we had in Laos (and the food in Laos is good). Great service and really nice place for lunch or dinner.

“Clean, modern, fresh and yummy Lao food”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Great menu with local ingredients ( think Riverweed from the Mekong - like toasted seaweed with sesame seeds with an amazing Lao sauce). Especially good for catering for vegetarians and other fussy eaters. If your idea of a trip to a foreign country involves burgers and fries then stay away; if it involves sampling fresh, clean flavours of the local cuisine then it is a must.
