“Absolutely perfect!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We had a wonderful stay at the Ansara and were impressed by the ambience and care taken to renovate the original building and sympathetic construction of the new areas. Our room was perfect with everything we needed and the outlook to the peaceful garden was lovely. Breakfast was good and nicely served upstairs in the Villa. The location is fantastic and near the river and lots of cafes, restaurants and the night market. It was a really delightful boutique hotel experience and we would like to return! It was also nice to chat with the very friendly hotel manager Zukrimin Latief. We were worried about renovation noise but it wasn't a problem during our stay.

Our first two nights in Laos ( honeymoon) were at the wonderful Ansara Hotel.
It exceeded our expectations in every way.
Location is excellent - close by great restaurants, the river, the night markets etc.
Staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and genuine. All staff we encountered went over and above their role.
Our suite room was huge and delightful, full of character and ambience. Our bath was filled with rose petals as a celebration of our recent wedding.
Of particular mention is the boutique feel of this property, where you feel part of a family with a care factor that makes any trip memorable and the hotel unique.
I highly recommend this property to anyone interested in boutique- style acommodation with individuality.

My partner and I were lucky enough to stay at the Ansara back in June. We were greeted by friendly staff and a much-needed welcome drink. Our room was spotless with the most inviting bed, which lived up to expectations and delivered an excellent night's sleep.

What really made this hotel stand out amongst the rest wasn't just its wonderful rooms or the beautiful garden view from the balcony, but the things that came with the room... Fresh fruit, snacks, drinks, little cakes, a laptop to use... All of which were free! And mosquito spray! I was overjoyed to find a large bottle of mosquito spray amongst the toiletries in the bathroom. You can never wear too much bug spray!

The staff were very accommodating and suggested a great restaurant for us to eat at during our stay. Unfortunately, we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, but it looked great! Breakfast was very good though, with plenty of choice - cooked or otherwise - and the coffee was excellent.

Our room was situated fairly close to the construction work taking place for the expansion, but I honestly didn't notice this until I stepped outside the room. And it'll be so worth it when the job is finished. It'd be great to see the hotel again when it has the new rooms and the pool. I was fortunate enough, however, to get a look at the suites that the hotel has to offer. They looked fantastic and I envy anybody who stays in one of them!

Overall, a wonderful stay at a centrally located, charming retreat of a hotel. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Vientiane.

A very well located hotel close to the night market and main attractions. Vast number of restaurants of various cuisines within a few minutes walk. Complimentary drinks, fruit, laptop in room, very attentive staff, beautiful inner garden, good breakfast and airport pickup all made the stay that much better. Wifi was a bit spotty, and the buildings of the new wing and swimming pool created a lot of noise but we were rarely there during the day so wasn't an issue. They have, what looks like a great French restaurant but with so many other great local restaurants so close it hard to see why you would use it.

Stayed here with my wife and two teenager kids and we all loved it. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our first visit was in 2010 (if I wasn't mistaken). We were staying at other hotel in the big road, then we decided to take a stroll along the fountain and surrounding. Then we went to the smaller road n found this premises. The building was clean n modern, very rare at that time. Then we decided to have a drink there. Needless to say, we moved to this hotel n I remember it was barely open. They gave us the suite room n I was surprised to find that it was a first class facility. The lounge was spacious with computer installed to the desk, the wine was chilled, the flat screen tv with DVD player n some DVDs. The bedroom was nice n cozy, d bathroom with jacuzzi. Breakfast was excellent n they served us well. The restaurant dishes was to die for, soooo yummy. The little bar alto nice n the cocktails were .
The location was perfect, in the small road, behind the temple. N not far from Mekong river. You can find a Lot of bar and restaurants and shops.
If You need transport, they have a nice SUV car that Will take You To see the Other side of the city. Definitely Will come back but unfortunately they always fully booked now. So now we just visit a bar n restaurant.

Room Tip: Sorry bout the swimming pool, they have none. N i ticked that by mistake n don't know how To und...
