THE auberge is build on a small plot between other houses and consists of a few bungalows , in a i suppose laotianstyle , our house nr 8 was in the back of the plot, everything is surrounded by big plants and trees , which gives it a charming feeling your breakfast,( nothing special but ok ) is served on your veranda. The ladies That attend to The place are friendly and reasonable in english, at least a lot more than my laotian ,a good spot to stay

Stayed for one night whilst passing through the city. We opted for the $25 economy bungalow as was literally just sleeping as arrived late. We were welcomed upon arrival and shown to a lovely wooden bungalow just off a side street 2 min walk to night market for shopping and close by to cute rest and bars. Can't fault the room the bed was comfortable and we esp enjoyed breakfast in our balcony. It was continental croissant and jan but warm and tasty! Staff are lovely and very helpful we booked an onward bus journey through them and would definitely stay again. A step up from economy rooms are set further back and have high vaulted filings and more luxurious fittings. Perfect location for day trip.

The hotel is located on a side street by the riverfront, it is very quiet but Laos is very safe, so not an issue. The rooms are like a hut, room is very basic, only has fridge, side table, wardrobe. No TV, safe. Air con is available. Bathroom is very basic, not much space for toiletries. Breakfast is outside your room, they only serve croissant with jam and butter, fruit, juice and coffee. No eggs. But for the price, it is ok. Behind the hotel there is night market and easily accessible to most sites. Further sites need to hire tuk tuk. Overall good value for money place.

Nested in greenery, the wooden houses were a joy to stay in. The evening receptionist Watsana was a pleasant and sincere lady with a nice smile. Room was big and clean, with a front patio where breakfast (croissant, banana, tea/coffee) was served every morning. On the day we left for Luang Prabang, we needed to catch an early bus. Warsana was kind enough to pack our breakfast in a takeaway bag. (side note: If you are travelling to Luang Prabang, seriously consider taking a plane. I took the VIP bus there and the long bumpy ride took 11 hrs. We took a plane for the return journey.) We stayed in Room 8, which was the furthest from the reception, thus WiFi was a little inconsistent, but there are sofa at the reception which you can use your WiFi devices at. TV recep in that room wasn't great too, but we didn't watch much tv, so it was fine. There were mosquitoes in the room but they didn't bite (perhaps they were just hiding from the cool weather). The hotel arranged transfer at usd 9, but you can get a taxi when you arrive at the airport at 57,000 kip (usd 7). Wanted to stay here again when we return to Vientiane from Luang Prabang, but the rooms were filled, so do book in advance if you would like to stay here.

This guesthouse was an oasis just up the street from the Impeng temple, which we came to call, "our temple." The garden is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The continental breakfast was adequate and left room for a fresh soup later in the morning after exploring the city. This guesthouse is a half block from the night market. The staff was very helpful and laundry service was quick and efficient.

A wonderful and pleasant place to stay. We were disappointed that our long standing booking for a superior room was not honoured, however the standard room was satisfactory, although a tight squeeze for 3. It is only 3 minutes walk from the night market and riverside area. The staff were very accommodating and the room was very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this delightful hotel. It is a wonderful place to stay.
