We reserved a standard double room and got a room on the first floor in the back of the hotel. The room itself was a bit dark and had no view, but it was quiet and had an additional "living room" space that was very convenient for lounging, lying on the cold tile floor to cool down, and to spread all of our stuff out on the various tables. The room also separated the shower from the toilet/sink which made sharing the room much easier. The morning breakfast served congee (rice porridge) with all the fixings, fried rice, and fried eggs, which made my Asian stomach very happy! Their western breakfast options may be a bit lacking for some and are very simple (toast, fruit, cereal). The hotel itself is on a dirt road and a little far from the center of town. In the heat of the midday, it makes the trek back to the hotel a little more strenuous and adds additional Kips and minutes of bumpy tuk tuk riding. I got two massages at the spa in the garage level of the hotel and was very pleased with both (and they're $5!). I'm not sure if I would recommend this hotel versus another comparably priced one in the center of town, but we didn't have any complaints during our stay. They also have a safe at the front desk and will hold on to passports, cash, etc.

We stayed here for 4 days while in Vientiane, and the hotel itself is perfectly satisfactory. The rooftop restaurant serves and adequate--but not very good--breakfast, but very good to excellent Lao food for lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. If you've read my other reviews, you know I like to eat. The wifi worked fine in our room and, as noted by others, the hotel provides free transport between the hotel and the airport. Our only issue was the distance from the center of the town, costing you a fair amount for tuktuks, which are on the larcenous side considering the distance to the center.

The hotel provide free airport transfer. Upon reaching the hotel reception, we were greeted by the staff. I as glad that they upgraded my two standard room to Deluxe room. The room was big, I believe it can fit in two king size bed.

The hotel is located at the riverside and it has a great Mekong river view from the rooftop restaurant. Try to catch the sunset view from the restaurant, the scenery is just amazing. The food variety is quite limited. It would be great if the hotel can add more varieties to the menu and they should replenish the food faster. I've seen the food were finish when a group of guest came in and the staff did not manage to replenish fast enough.

The hotel is 15-20 minutes from the night market. You may walk to take a tuk-tuk in from of the hotel. Price of the tuk-tuk varies from 20,000 - 40,000 kips depending on number of pax. The hotel provide shuttle service to the city for 50,000 kip per trip.

There is a massage center at the ground floor of the hotel which provide good massage. Do go early as they will close at 11 pm. Price range from 40,000 - 100,000 kips.

Overall hotel is good with nice view, rooms and bathrooms are cleans, and location wise is slightly far from the city and night market.

I have been to Vientiane 10 plus times and have stayed at this hotel the majority of the time..it is a 5 minute walk along the Makong river to down town and the evening sunset view is the best, the 5th floor bar and resturant has a wonderful open balcony/deck and during happy hour or breakfast you can just get the best views of Thailand across the river or of Vientiane. The staff is alway eager to help, and the rooms are kept spotless. I love the traditional breakfast and wonderful freshfruits. The massage team in the basement is best best quality and the best prices. For this price you get alot for your money.

Room Tip: All rooms are similar but the extra price of the VIP rooms is worth the view...

so very dissapointed to pay 125 USD per night for a room that was fungus ridden
Ceiling was falling down (litteraly) room was very "moist" fridge did not work, neither did the one they replaced it with! Water would flood on the floor when taking a bath because the plumbing did not work and the rooftop restaurant served the worst breakfast I've ever had in S.E. Asia

Other than plumbing problems they also seem to have an issue with their electricity.
My cellphone almost fried (got extremely warm) when trying to charge it
Noticed then the outlets where "hanging" out from the wall............. a little dangerous, as this could potentially kill someone!
I had just stayed at a very beautiful resort in Luang Prabang when I arrived here, what a difference! This is not a hotel that's safe for kids (or anyone else)

The hotel is located 15' walk from the city. The staff is friendly, the rooms simple but clean. The restaurant on the top is offering a beautiful view at sunset on the Mekong river. The breakfast buffet is simple but good.
We appreciated the calm of the area.
