Our family of four spent two nights here. Pick-up service very efficient which makes the start to any holiday trouble free. We had originally booked two rooms but with the hotel's suggestion, managed to have our family in one room with an extra bed, which suited us better. Breakfast was good and you had a choice of what to order. Location is good for the morning market, local bus station and Victory Arch. It is a bit of a walk from the river front and the night market but we walked it with our kids and they didn't complain. We wanted to stay another night for our connecting flight a week later after we visited Luang Prabang but unfortunately they were booked out. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Stayed on third floor but I think all rooms would be quiet as hotel is off major road down a private road.

We stayed there for two nights. Free and reliable pick up service from the airport. The hotel is 10 minutes walking from midtown touristic area, which makes it very quiet, beautiful and clean roons, good breakfast and very polite staff. You could find cheaper accommodations but not such as good facilities. There are many guest houses at Vientiane, you don't even need to pre book a room even in high season, just go there and check for yourself.

We were picked up at the airport immediately we exited and transported to Aroon Residence, we had an Executive Room which was large, the only downside with this room was that it was so large the air conditioning unit struggled to cool it. Breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about and as comunicating in english is problematic at this hotel we struggled to get what we had asked for on the second day, the eggs did not arrive!!!
Our planned for bicycle tour with Vientiane Bicycle was cancelled by email whilst we were having breakfast, we were lucky to get this email as "the internet is broken" was a regular quotation from the reception staff. Internet in restuarants in town don't have this problem. Instead of the bicycle tour we responded to a flyer on the door of the hotel offering a tour for 15 USD per person, this was a ripoff, we were only taken to Pha That Luang and Patuxai Gate, you can walk to the gate from the hotel and the temple is also only a short tuk-tuk ride away. We were only 50 yards away from the hotel before the driver was pressurising us for more money so we cut our losses at the gate and told him to take us back to the hotel, again communications issues prevented complaints being successful, however next day we were transferred back to the airport for free.

We stayed at the Aroon for seven nights and really loved the hotel, our room was really nice and fully equipped with a good air conditioning and a fridge, the bathroom was also nice with everything in full working order. The hotel is also without doubt the cleanest place we have ever stayed everything was immaculate.
More than all that though the staff were just great, Alex the Manager and the other members of staff were brilliant and nothing was to much trouble.
As for location I have been left confused by some of the other reviews on TA, the Aroon is in the city centre, you step out of the hotel and everything is close by! We thought it was in a great location.
