Youth Inn 1 was infested with bed bugs. We thankfully inspected the beds before paying, and left quickly. Youth Inn 2 was not. The rooms were reasonable. 'Good,' I hear you say. Well, yes, but the tale has only just begun.
Firstly, the staff were rude and unhelpful, and would say one thing very clearly, but then would later create an utterly different reality. We had our laundry done with them, and they informed us that it would be ready by 3pm the next day, and told us each how much it would cost. The next day at 3pm we were told to come back at 5. Then at 7, and then at 7:30. We gave them time and went for dinner; when we arrived at 10:30pm suddenly it would be arriving tomorrow morning. The next morning came... and it went. It was late afternoon by the time that we decided we just wanted it back, and that we didn't care what state it was in. Some of our party had booked tickets to leave that morning on the basis of their bogus promises, and had missed their coaches.
They then had the cheek to lie and finally tell us something: that it was damp. We asked where it was and discovered it was at Youth in 1 (the place with the bedbugs). Having walked down to the site where our laundry supposedly was and after waiting 5 minutes, the clothes arrived bone dry, folded and clean (though with other people's items in our bags). I suspect they had been ready for a while but the staff wanted to keep us there for yet another extra night so that they could make more money out of us. They then informed us that they would give us a discount for the trouble which had been caused, but tried to charge us more than we'd orignally be told. The SAME man informed us that our clothes were different weights from the original quoted price. Eventually he saw we weren't budging but the whole thing felt like an utter shambles.
Don't go there.
