Spent around 2 weeks in the hotel and had the opportunity to stay in both single and double rooms. The rooms are spacious. You have 6 choices of daily breakfast (not buffet) ranging from Laos to Western. Conveniently located near the night market, restaurants and the river front. Staff are knowledgeable about the area. Wfii was not functioning well in the initial stages but were ok after that. A pleasant stay definiitely.(read more on Laos on http://www.clumsycompass.blogspot.sg/p/laos-travels_22.html)

Room Tip: Take the lower floors if you do not want to climb stairs.

Stumbled upon this place last minute. Got a room for $40. Having stayed in other places and seen some of the hotels and rates in Vientiane this is amazing. Feels like it should be $80 a night. Great breakfast too. That staff are organised and amazingly helpful

A great place to stay if you want to be near the night market, river and hub of restaurants.

The hotel is a colonial style and the rooms are quite large and simply furnished. The beds were comfortable and there was free wi-fi throughout the hotel. The hotel seemed very clean and the bathroom was a decent size though just a shower. There was no safe in the room but Laos is a safe country. The curtains were very thin meaning that sunlight poured into the room very early.

The breakfast was delicious with a choice of several set meals. The Guatamalen breakfast was particularly tasty.

There are no other facilities such as gym or pool but as a base to explore the city and surroundings (a trip to the buddha park is a must) then this is a great place to stay.

The main gay bar is also just a 1 minute walk away.

Ended up at this place due to a mix up, but were glad of it. Booked in at the last minute and got a room for $40. Pretty place, very classy. Nice staff, seemed to be many around who could help when needed. Had a proper shower with plenty of hot water. Enjoyed ourselves.

Stayed here for two nights while travelling through Laos and Thailand.

Arrived by bus from Vang Vieng, hotel was easy to find and well located in the center of Vientiane, close to the river and the night market. The hotel has a nice colonial feel over it. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean, as was the bathroom. The beds are clean, though a bit hard. There was wifi in the rooms, though the signal wasn't that strong and internet wasn't very fast. I noticed this everywhere in Laos, so this is probably the state of things. It worked well enough for some emails and facebook, but videocalling home was nearly impossible. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. When we decided to head to Udon Thani a day earlier, it was no problem to change our booking.

The breakfast was also very tasty. It wasn't that much for a big eater like me, but there were some nice options and everything was freshly prepared.

Very tasteful rooms and solid service. Just outside the more backpacker feeling area, but really not an issue. Nice breakfast. If you are willing to pay their rates you will get a very spacious, clean, and well appointed room.

Stayed 3 nights in this charming hotel. We were in loft suite which was perfect for our family of 4. Great staff, breakfast was wonderful and it's located very close to many great restaurants and sights in the city. We'd stay again.
