We visited Vientiane in February 2017 and stayed at the Khampiane Boutique Hotel for 3 nights. When we checked in, the 1st room they showed us had rubbish and bottles that were not cleared! Next they gave us a room on the 1st Floor, a family room, which was supposedly an upgrade.

That night I woke up scratching and actually caught a bed bug which was crawling on my neck! It was horrible and spoilt my sleep that night.

The next day, when we reported to the front desk all they said was that they had not received any previous complaints! The Manager changed our room. The breakfast was pathetic and limited.

Surrounding shops around were good, especially the Health Food shop next to the Hotel which served sandwiches and fruit juices and the Laotian Restaurant directly across the street from the Hotel which served reasonable food but on the pricey side.

Room Tip: The room facing the road was the most habitable.

We stayed here in May 2017 for one night. The hotel is clean and the room is well presented with air conditioning. The hotel is almost in the mif=ddle of Vientiane and you can walk to all the important and scenic places in Vientieanne quite easily. The river and night market ate-=re only about a 10-minute walk away. The staff were pleasent and helpful. all in all a good price was paid and I would recommend this hotel to visitors of Vientiane.

Great location in Heng Boune Road with walking distance to The Night Market, restaurants, bars and shops. Basic but good rooms when it comes to bed, cleanness, bathroom and wifi. Good breakfast and friendly service but slightly overpriced.

It is getting harder to find a decent budget hotel in Vientiane. Needed a place just for a night and had stayed here a few years earlier. It has gone downhill a bit. Staff are nice and room was clean. Room is virtually windowless with a wall half a metre away. Bed was ok and air con worked fine. Wifi dropped out a bit and TV was limited in choice and fuzzy. Bathroom was Laos style so wet but adequate. Breakfast was very average but enough. In short, the place is fine for a night but not great for the price and there is nothing remotely boutique about it!

Great location and good service but good be better with cleanliness and furniture. It is an old building and facilities are rather dated. There was a stale smell in the room until we turn on the AC. Breakfast was decent.
