The room was nice and I appreciate the free wifi. A separate shower and bath was a luxury. Lots of plugs in the rooms...it sounds silly, but makes a big difference if you want to recharge all the gizmos you are travelling with! Breakfast was more limited for my European taste. .the location is good and you can walk to everything you want to see in the town. The staff were smiley but felt fairly indifferent. So, nothing very good and nothing very bad really.

We only had a short stay over two nights here and nothing to complain about. Everything was clean and in good condition, staff helpful if needed. Breakfast was ok with not a lot of variety though. Location is convenient with only a short walk to eateries, bars and the river. There is a local bar across the street which is quite lively but we didn't get disturbed by the noise.

Nicely situated only a few blocks from the river and close to all the nearby bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly. The rooms are basic, spacious, nicely decorated and clean. Overall, it is nice and good price.

This is the second time I have stayed here. Good location. Easy walking distance to a I would classify this as a"Boutique Hotel" and I will stay here again.lmost everything. Wi-Fi was improved since my last visit. Swimmers... there is no pool. The price is reasonable and the beds are comfortable. Enjoy the view from the small balcony in every room. The streets are quiet at night, even so close to down town.

The hotel offers breakfast of the typical Asian fare. They will cook you eggs to order.

Hotel has a service to take you to and from the airport for about $7 USD.

A good hotel if you are out sightseeing and not spending a lot of time at the hotel.

I have stayed here twice now and I'll probably be staying here the next time.

We stayed here for four nights in Feb 2012, there was myself, my wife and our two children aged 4 and 9. We found the place to be fine for our short stay and about a 20 minute walk to the river and about 15 or so to the main town or main market area. It's situated on the corner at a road junction so you can obviously get a bit of traffic noise although when inside and the ac is on and the windows closed it didn't prove any problems. We had breakfast in the hotel which had a decent choice of food while the staff were pleasant.
We had a small balcony right outside our window which meant we could have a beer in the evening while the kids were safe asleep inside and there is a nice little locals bar on the corner opposite which I managed to sneak out to on the odd occasion!

We stayed two nights and each night there was loud music from the Ministry of Education Guesthouse next door. The end of the hotel corridor facing the guesthouse courtyard was open which funneled the noise into our part of the hotel. Luckily the noise stopped at 11pm (by law I understand).
The hot water tap in the shower wouldn't turn off on the first night but a maintenance man was there in a few minutes and fixed it in about an hour which we thought was pretty good service although it's not something you want to happen after a long day of travel. Clean hotel but showing its age.

Room Tip: Try to get a room as far as possible from the Ministry of Education Guesthouse next door!

Unlike the people of Laos, this hotel's staff didn't make us feel very welcome. I would rate their customer service as average, but generally found other people in Laos to be much more than that. Hotel's rooms are large, very adequate, and hotel restaurant is fine for breakfast and even a snack. I'd stay there again because we could walk everywhere, but sure wish management would teach people to at least smile once in a while.
