Good location. Easy walking distance to almost everything. Wi-Fi is spotty and there is no pool. The price is reasonable and the beds are comfortable. Enjoy the view from the small balcony in every room. The streets are quiet at night, even so close to down town. I would classify this as a"Boutique Hotel" and I will stay here again.

my wife accompanied me on my business travel and stayed here for couple of months.
Was a very neat experience and staff are very kind to help you any time, clean rooms and decent breakfast, WIFI , locker etc..
A 10 min walk will lead to Mekong river banks where all restaurants, pubs are available at your choice. Reach Mini bus stand is with a 15-20 min walk..
Although you don't have luxury of a gym and pool, This one will still be good for both couple, family and business travel. May Not be for people looking at budget trips.

Came to know that the hotel was owned and managed by Indian Origin people and was quite proud to stay and see it so well managed....

Room Tip: Choose top room at the corner which will have a very good view of the Vientiane stadium..

The room is clean and comfortable. Staff is courteous and friendly. Location is near to Talat Sao Mall and bus stop. 15 mins walk to Patuxay and another 25 mins walk to That Luang Stupa. Though it's a short walk to Mekong riverside, note that walking back to the hotel at night is quite quiet and dark. If you like strolling at Mekong or spend time drinking coffee and beer till late night then perhaps accommodation at the central may be a better option.

We booked the hotel through Agoda at USD55 per night but upon arrival was told that the price was only applicable for single pax. For additional pax, we need to add USD10. Hence, take note.

From the moment I entered this hotel, I felt a sense of serenity and homeliness. A small welcome drink made me feel very welcome. Check-in formalities completed in no time, inclusive of being provided with wi-fi internet password, which got me connected to my family within minutes of my entering the room. The accommodation is spacious, with comfortable bed, tea-coffee machine, large bathroom with a separate area for bathing, in addition to the bath tub, very different from the makeshift bathing chamber you may have seen elsewhere. All that facilitates you to get ready faster, Cable TV had all the possible channels you may like to watch. Lighting in the room was, however, insufficient, so much so that while on Skype call, guys on the other side could not see me at all.

Room Tip: Avoid front facing rooms as there is a blood bank facing the hotel.

This is a new business class 3 star hotel in Vientiane that has a very nice lobby and polite reception staff. The hotel shares the same block with several other hotels which don't look nearly as well maintained or modern. The room we were given was comfortable and clean. The bed was of high quality and for someone like me who is prone to back aches from sleeping on mattresses that are too soft or firm it was perfect for a good night's sleep. The room has a nice modern key card system as well.
The room also had a standard hot water maker with coffee/tea packets and fridge.

The morning breakfast buffet had a very nice spread set out especially for low season. You had a full range of asian and western options and could request eggs done to your liking. Once again the restaurant staff were polite and respectful.

The location doesn't get much better than this since it is located across the street from the busier main strip so you won't be bothered by drunken yodeling from tourists, thumping bar music, or other shenanigans. However it's in easy walking distance to the city center fountain and the market/bus station. Another bonus is that the tuk tuk rip offs didn't congregate around this hotel like other places so you won't be hassled by them every time you walk out the front door.

The room was booked through an online service and check in and out was painless. The efficient and polite service here makes it readily apparent their target clientele are the more service orientated business people and tourists.

On con however is that there didn't seem to be wifi in the rooms which is quite puzzling considering the 3 star make up of the hotel and should be very simple to implement. For a couple who desires a very comfortable first night stay in a city in a western standard hotel this was a great choice but it is a bit pricey when you consider that many other hotels offer the same standard of room when we looked around a bit in Vientiane. If the price continues to creep up market it might be better to go with other accommodation.

Clean, well run, good standard three star hotel conveniently situated in the centre of town. Rooms are decent size, modern with TV, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and safety box. Bathrooms are very well appointed and have bath tub and separate shower. Beds are comfortable enough but the pillows I found rather too firm. Breakfast is quite adequate with cornflakes or muesli, fresh fruit, fruit juices yoghurt, salad, and eggs supplemented with items changing on a daily basis such as . spaghetti, hash browns, baked beans, bacon etc. The polished concrete floor may not be to everyone's taste and in fact can be quite slippy especially if wearing socks. Stayed here for four nights at $55 a night after three nights at the Sengtawan hotel and would happily stay here again.

I was looking for a bit of a treat after staying in hostels and budget hotels through out Laos and this was exactly what I was looking for. The rooms are decently priced and quite luxurious by western standards. The Lobby itself is inviting and the staff are very accommodating. The free buffet breakfast is quite good, albiet a bit smaller than your typical buffet (always adequate for me but if you're an American, used to a million different choices, you wont get it.)

The rooms have polished concrete floors, yes, but I found it quite aesthetically pleasing. The decor is modern and well chosen. The rooms themselves are large and mine at least had a small balcony. The showers are good, with decent water pressure.

The only nitpicky thing I would say is that I think the soap and shampoo smelled a bit too masculine for my tastes.

The location is just enough out of the way that you get a block or two of exercise walking to the water/main area.

Other than that, I had a wonderful stay at City Inn and would 100% stay there again.
