This large chain store style bakery is a good place to escape into a western bubble. We arrived here at 7am after spending the night on a sleeper bus and were ecstatic to collapse into an armchair with hot coffee, warm and sticky cinnamon buns and free reliable WiFi. Had the lemon slice too which was average, and the prices are just okay but there's value in genuinely providing creature comforts from home.

I visited Joma's several years ago and was unimpressed. On this visit, I'm pleased to say that they have their act together. It is now much more comfortable and organized. I would recommend this place for breakfast over any of the other restaurants in the Nam Phou Fountain area.

I have tried Jomas here and in Hanoi, they have certainly managed to get it right. Great food and coffee, very consistent. When I am travelling abroad for a time I always miss good coffee and pastries, I find them both at Joma.

Fast expanding its enterprise, Joma has recently opened a new branch in Vientiane right at the traffic lights of the main road connecting Patuxai and That Luang about 250 metres from the Golden Stupa of That Luang.
We didn't go there, but went again - as usual - to the downtown branch in Setthathirath. Still running, nothing much chasnged.
The quality of service and WiFi very good.
The cakes and coffees as good as ever.
Only the newspaper board was a mess.
The carrot cake is yummy, as well as the many small bars and brownies.

Joma is an utter lifesaver, it's like starbucks but the food is actually nice and the coffes aren't expensive rip off. The bagels and breakfast burritos saved my life on many occasions
