This museum is fascinating and gives a very informative overview about the damage the landmines and unexploded bombs have done and are still doing in Laos. It also explains the incredibly valuable work carried out to clear the mines and also to rehabilitate Lao people who have lost limbs to the bombs, or for other reasons. The guides speak excellent English and the films you can watch are very moving. All in all a wonderful exhibition, which should be a must-see for all visitors to Vientiane. There is a lovely cafe in the grounds which does great homemade ice cream shakes, a great place to sit and reflect on what you have seen.

Visited the museum today, it was absolutely amazing. The guide was informative a d spoke excellent English. It was incredible to see the often forgotten about side of Laos. The centre deserves every donation it gets, it is a great project and will really bring a change. If in Vientiane you owe it to yourself to pay a visit. I cannot commend it enough.

I think this is a great place to visit. It's terrible that there are still landmines in Laos, but great that this organization is able to assist families in need.

The COPE centre shows the amazing work that is being done to help rehabilitate Laotians affected by the bombs dropped on Laos as part of the Secret War.
Very moving and great exhibits to help you understand the devastating effect these bombs have caused since the war and which are still being uncovered and found today.
Also a fantastic gift shop where I discovered Colin Cotteril books with all proceeds from the shop and books going to support COPE.
