Description: Supara Ethno-Complex is a custodian of age-old values & cultural traditions of the Kyrgyz people. It is a unique restaurant with a distinctive architecture and design, built with stone, wood, clay, straw, reed, and leather. We offer a wide selection of dishes of Kyrgyz nomadic cuisine, cooked with organic ingredients. We also conduct master classes on cooking traditional dishes and making felt. You can enjoy your meals in yurts, traditional nomadic dwellings, different in size, interior design and style as well as in cozy stone houses, which are cool in summer and warm in winter. We organize traditional Kyrgyz games: ordo, arkan tartysh, archery as well as live performances of folklore musical groups and narrators of the Kyrgyz heroic epos“Manas”. We offer tours around the complex, where you can see a display of antique artefacts and museum exhibits. There's a souvenir shop with handmade gifts. We have unique conference facilities and equipment for various types of events.

Kyrgyzstan has a long history and this cultural experience offers a glimpse into how Kyrgyz have solved problems facing them during a nomadic life through the ages, with a variety of houses used and implements crafted. Great place to hold an event; and the regular restaurant is lovely and food variety and quality is good. Very pleasant and friendly -- in 3 languages, at least! GO! About 15-20 minutes from Hyatt by car.

This is definately a place to go to for a traditional experience. We enjoyed the games and musicians. It was very nice to walk the grounds. However, the food service and food was very under par. We were a group of 12 people and we were in Kyrgyzstan for 10 days and ate at many local restaurants. This was by far the worse experiece. A few people in our group didn't even receive their food. Some didn't get what they ordered. I had to select a number of times because they were out of food.

A very creative and fun place to eat but the food was only average and a bit cold. They were busy so that may have affected things.

The yurt we ate in was huge and mostly empty, making it very cold. No atmosphere at all. We asked to sit in a smaller cabin but were told they were all 'full' (in reality they were all empty). Every dish was cold when it finally made it to us and flavourless. Service slow and rude. We had to actually go into the kitchen to find someone to get our bill. Not recommended.

This place is good for those who want to try Kyrgyz traditional cuisine, enjoy the beautiful nature, ride a horse and try yourself in archery etc. Better to take a cab instead of riding a bus or any other public transportation (approximately $10 for a cab ride).

The only thing I as Uzbek didn't like, was that the guy in warrior's attire (who oversees the restaurant's parking lot) was telling us how great his nation is and how miserable other Central Asians are. Quite nationalistic, I should say.
