Impressive building from the outside and also from the inside (at the top). Not much on the Ground floor entrance apart from the shop (very small space) and toilets.
The lift experience wasn't that exciting, as the view is either blocked by the concert pillars or the metal frame.
At the top it is splitted in to 3 levels. View are good, but slightly spoiled by the reflective glass and metal structures of the building. Top level have a hand space (The President's hand) , its lucky to put your hand there and make a wish. There is also a shield for Peace and Accord,
No guided tour, but a GREAT view of the city.
The shop is very small, but lots of items. Again no building guide or booklet for sale or give away.
The building is designed by Foster and Partners, which simbolises the Kazakh myth of the magic bird Samruk, who laid a golden egg on the tree of life
Overall a must visit place to visit in Astana.

Bayterek is the best-known landmark in Kazakhstan - you'll see it on banknotes and postage stamps - and is an excellent place to view modern Astana.

In the base of the tower you pay an entrance fee and be taken up in a fast lift to the viewing levels in the golden 'egg' dome at the top.The real attraction is the centre of this so young capital city around you- vast new buildings, towers and the grand avenue to the presidential palace, spread out generously. It's a brash expression of the country's recent oil wealth and the president's self-glorification.

On the upper level there is a pedestal with a pressed-in handprint, that has been gilt. It's the president's hand and Kazakh families gleefully pose for photos with their hand placed in the handprint.

Best enjoyed on a clear day.

After paying the 500tg entrance fee, it has a cheap bar with excellent views over the whole city. Go up to the top floor to place your hand into the handprint of the President.

Great looking outside but it is a disappointment inside. Entrance fee is about 8USD but it does not worth at all.
