First impression: very friendly staff, always smiling. Good atmosphere & nice room was good. The breakfast was superb: you have to fill in a form. You even get good cappuccino if you want.

The room was clean good size. Unfortunately the balcony floor was very dirty; bird droppings. We stayed here 3 nights, on the 2nd day when we arrived at our room around 6pm we noticed they didn’t clean the room. When making notice the only thing they said was that the room-cleaning service left at 4pm and offered us clean towels.

I know it’s not the most exclusive hotel in PP but we pay for a clean room, every day. So I think they acted irresponsibly. Too bad.

The location is perfect; 10 min walk to the royal palace. Taxi for a day is $30; stops at S21 & the killing fields.

Tip: Get a taxi so you are free to stay as long as you want at the killing fields and S21. Organised busses sometimes limit you to 1hr per venue for example & the price is the same.

Overall: Price / quality an average hotel. This is what you can expect for this price. I would recommend it to friends & family.

We have stayed here for 2 nights this place very quiet from the ladies bar, the room very clean, good service and friendly staff, good breakfast and near Royal palace, if you stay here you can found good restaurant next door very good food and reasonably price, we recommend this hotel when you travel to Cambodia.

We stayed here for 4 nights. On first impressions, it looked quaint and cosy.
Lovely entrance, tastefully decorated and friendly staff. We received a welcome drink whilst we were checking in.
Our room was on the first floor with a window to the hallway, however no window to outside so no natural light. The bed was so hard, it was like sleeping on a concrete slab.
The location was quite good, only a short walk to the riverside and the royal palace.
One of the main problems with the hotel is the noise of the sensor on the front entrance door, it's so loud and especially if you are on the first floor, you hear it all the time. The rooms also have a loud bleeping noise when you use the keycard to open the door and you hear it during the night when other people are going to their rooms. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay but it would of been a lot better with a comfortable bed and without the noise.

We had high hopes for Vacation Boutique Hotel. On arrival we were delighted to be told we had a free upgrade to a balcony room, at the back of the hotel, "where it's quiet", despite us thinking that's what we'd booked anyway.
The "balcony" is dreadful, truly dreadful.
Facing directly onto a grubby old building behind, you can reach out and touch the windows of the building opposite and perched above a filthy old lane piled high with rubbish and complete with barking dogs it's not a place anybody except a desperate smoker would ever venture on to.
The hotel has no lift.
The hotel is dark.
The rooms are dark.
The air-con in our room did not chill the room enough.
The bathroom has a blanket instead of a door.
It's noisy, you can hear every door open and slam shut, every conversation in the stair well echoes into the rooms.
The bed is rock hard and lumpy.
The staff are all lovely, always smiling and helpful, despite that, during our two week stay we asked for just two thing, somebody please check the fridge, it wasn't working and can we get an extra pillow, lots of smiling and nodding but no actual action.
The breakfast was good, a choice of Asian or Western, with options for fruit platters, eggs in any style, different breads, some noodle soups and bacon, a good selection.
The location is good, close to the seedy bars if that's what you're looking for, but also close to the historic sights and riverfront, the markets and palace.
So, to sum up.
The Vacation Boutique Hotel is in a pretty good location but it's noisy, hot, dark, uncomfortable, there's no lift, no bathroom privacy and the breakfast is good.

Room tip: There are no good rooms.

The staff was very friendly and the meals in the restaurant really tasty. The room was spacious and with minibar, balkony and a flatscreen tv. The rooms look like on the pictures. We would choose this hotel again!
