“Paradise amongst the chaos”

It was a pleasure arriving into this little oasis. The staff always had a smile and were ready to help you out if you needed it. The highlight for us was the pool after sweating up a storm seeing the sights-which was always cool and refreshing accompanied by tasty snacks and fruity cocktails!
Really the only downside to this hotel for us was the smallish room with tiny single beds-this was the twin configuration so perhaps the other rooms are fine. Overall great little boutique hotel.

This place is about average. We stayed for one night and they accomodated us (with extra charge) for an extra bed, but the accomodation was basic and floors not the cleanest. Pool was a welcome respite, but be warned it is very small, more just to dip into. Nice sitting area to chill by. Staff quite helpful and breakfast was worth it. But just be warned that it is on a hot smelly alley (though the rooms do not smell that bad), and the pictures make it look a bit nicer than it is.

NOTE for travellers with disabilities: the only way up to rooms (that I could tell) is by a very sharply winding staircase with awkwardly spaced steps.

Room Tip: Most rooms face the pool, so you'll be fine. Not

We had a 2bedroom room. Great space and cheap. The pool area was lovely. yes small, but it served its purpose. Great happy hour cocktails by the pool and amazing Tapas, also cheap. The location was great and the breakfast was small but sufficient. Fresh eggs cooked as wanted.I have already recommended this place to friends. We also booked a taxi to Sihanoukville with the front desk which was the best way to get there, especially for 4 people.

We stayed here for 2 nights after staying in a 4 star hotel in Siem Reap, and the two hotels were in no way comparable. I can only assume that providing a (tiny) pool earns a hotel 4 stars as if it weren't for this, I'd barely rate this hotel as 2 stars. The bathroom had ants, hot water from the shower was hit and miss, the walls were paper-thin and you could hear every door in the place opening and closing. My (techie) husband made the staff aware that when connected to the internet, we (& anyone else connected) could see patrons booking details, passport details (via scans) and credit card details that the hotel was storing. Despite raising this issue and showing the staff personally, they still had not rectified this matter by the time we left. As for the staff, they were not as friendly and helpful as others we experienced during our entire 3 weeks of travel in Cambodia and Vietnam so this didn't really redeem the place in any way. Breakfast was fine, but be sure to get there early if you want to take advantage of the full selection as they don't seem to replenish anything once its gone. Only positives: chiko rolls on the menu, and a choice of fan or air-con in the rooms.

Every time I come to Phnom Penh I always stay at this hotel. Friendliest staff, clean and excellent rooms, awesome location, and excellent restaurant. For 30 dollArs a night you want to stay here. It's also very very safe.

Room Tip: Book in advance always in Cambodia!

We arrived after staying at a great boutique hotel near Angkor Wat. What a surprise we got when we pulled up here. The staff was very kind and helpful, location was good......but the place was nothing like the photos. We were offered a friendly welcome drink.....,while waiting to check in we saw the pool. It's a splash pool really.....but ok we could get over that. We arrive up to our room, only to find two rooms with tons of bugs flying around in them. The rooms again look nothing like the photos. This is more a hostel then a boutique hotel. A lot of staff were lying around in one of the rooms, it was all dark, door cracked....they were watching TV. Not an impressive site for hotel guests. We know they were staff as we saw one come out while we were sitting in the outdoor lounge area. So the best part of the hotel was the free wifi. We used it to book and find another hotel room and left! We left about one hour after our arrival. The photos are impressive and a creative effort on their part to make the place look good.

My wife and I spent two nights at Hotel Nine, where we had nothing but positive experiences. The staff were all professional and courteous, and each staff member we interacted with spoke English well. The hotel is slightly off of the backpacker path, but if you're aiming to be in the centre of the action, it is overly-easy to get anywhere in town via tuk-tuk for US$1-US$3. The breakfast was tasty, with a good variety of dishes (just be there early to get choice fruits!).

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor which had an OK view - you may want to try to stay closer to the pool if...
