As reviewed earlier, you can't choose to do either the palace or pagoda. It's a ticket to both. For me it's a place to kill time in Phnom Penh. There isn't much to do / see otherwise but at least you have been and know what it's like. What can you see in pagoda? At least there are some display to demonstrate Cambodia culture and some information about the king.
