Another beautifully renovated building close by the Royal Palace and well worth visiting. It's amazing how well they have restored these buildings which the Khmer Rouge Regime destroyed.

This could have been so much better with a bit of signage and explanation. The silver was not in a good state and so many ornaments in cases are bewildering and meaningless.

In this place you can see many collection of buddha statues which some made by gold, silver, jewelry.
The pagoda is not made by silver, but the floor.

Straight off the bat I'll say - we had a tour guide who, apart from covering entrance cost in his cost, explained everything we saw once we were in the doors of the Silver Pagoda grounds. I think perhaps this is the biggest different in the review score that I have given and others. Without the historical significance of all of the various buildings and artwork and collections it wouldn't have been as great an experience.
However, with the lessons in history and religion we received whilst going through the complex this was a great half day wander for us. The Pagoda and complex have a wide range of artifacts both young and old.
I think if you don't have a guide or someone to tell you about it, do a bunch of reading and/or take your own information in with you and read it as you go through as you'll otherwise miss 99% of the experience.

Some lovely grounds with beautiful trees and manicured hedges in animal figures . The Pagoda witch is not actually silver but does have a silver floor is quite nice to see , but you will need to look hard as it is covered in rugs for protection .the asking price of $6.50 is a little steep . But worth a look . Check on opening times before arrival . We think it is better than average but not rate as very good .
