“Don't make an event out of it”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Just drive by it on a tuk tuk or moto on the way to Riverside. There is no place to walk around it. Beautiful architecture, though.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

As other reviewers have stated, the Independence Monument is in the middle of a large roundabout. While it is quite impressive, it is not worth a special trip. Ask your tuktuk driver to drive past it on your way somewhere else--the look that you get as you go past is all you really need.

“Not worthy for a special visit”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

If you approach the Royal Palace and other monuments you pass along it. Not worthy for a special visit.

“A structure in middle of round about”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Not much to say you can view all sides of it in about 4 minutes
best to view on the way to visit say palace or museum etc
not the sort of place you would make the main point of a days sight seeing
