Something to see while in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. You can't miss it ... east to find at the large traffic circle (round-a-bout) on Norodom Street. This impressive obelisk Independence Monument commemorates Cambodia's freedom from French rule in 1953. It was particularly pretty with a bright blue sky on the afternoon my wife and I visited it in October 2012 while on a Viking River Boat Land-Mekong River tour at that time.
