What else is there to say? It's is a symbol and emblem of Phnom Penh, and perhaps you might want t photograph of it in your collection. If you visit, take a look across the road at the mansion of Cambodia's longtime Prime Minister, Hun Sen. If you wonder where the money came from to build his palace, your not alone.

Very nice looking monument in the middle of some very busy streets. It is a must see in Phnom Penh because it has shown up in so many famous pictures. The streets around the monument are nice to walk around as well.

Amazing! I really like it! I used to see it in the picture or books but I have never seen it before I moved to PP and when I am here the place that I visit was this independence monument and it is really beautiful. I do like it and it's the symbolize of Cambodia and help Cambodian to remember the day when it gets its independence.

The surrounding aresa are very nice for a stroll on a nice day with probably the most green part of the city but the monument itself is just a glorified round about in my opinion.
