This very sad place is worthwile seeing. The audio tour provides very interesting facts on what happened not too long ago. Plan enough time to listen to the whole audio tour if you are interested. A tuk tuk there and back will cost you 15 USD

Nice and tranquil place with such a horrible history. The audio guide was excellent, one of the best I´ve ever had. The memorial pagoda in the centre was the hardest thing to see. There is a collection of skulls, each marked with small sticker of different colour. On the case you can read what the colour coding means (different colour for different means of killing the victim). Really chilling to the bone. And the killing tree was just heartbreaking. All in all a good reminder of what people are capable of,

My two must dos in Phnom Penh was this and S-21. The story both these tell is powerful to say the least. After visiting S-2-, we took a Rickshaw (via PassApp which EVERYone must download and use for reliable and cheap rides) about 20-30 mins away. We spent about an hour and a half. Entrance fee includes headset narration for either $7 or $10, can’t remember. They do a good job walking you through the site and explain how things happened albeit in gruesome detail at some parts. If you want to know about what the imprisonment and torture camps were like from first hand accounts and how this classocide (because it wasn’t a genocide, it was class elimination) was possible to happen, do these tours. It will help you understand this culture and country on a new level.

A must see if you’re in Phnom Penh. Extremely sad but very well done. The audio tour was great as it gave us lots of information - would highly recommend doing this. Emotional but glad I went.

Harrowing and strange experience but one that you simply have to do when in Cambodia.

We took the audio tour which I would highly recommend as it is really well done and informative.

Saw people taking smiling selfies here which was excruciating to see.
